DOSEN UIN Suska Koruptor Jaringan Internet Divonis 2 Tahun Penjara
PEKANBARU, detak24com – Dosen UIN Suska atas nama Benny Sukma Negara divonis 3 tahun penjara, dalam kasus korupsi pengadaan jaringan internet.
Majelis hakim Pengadilan Tipikor Pekanbaru yang diketuai Dr Salomo Ginting SH pada sidang Jumat (06/10/23) petang, menyatakan terdakwa Benny Sukma Negara dinyatakan terbukti secara sah dan bersalah melanggar Pasal 21 UU RI No 28 Tahun 1999 tentang penyelenggaraan yang bersih dari korupsi, kolusi dan nepotisme.
“Menghukum terdakwa dengan pidana penjara selama dua tahun, denda Rp 200 juta subsider 2 bulan,” ucap Salomo.
Vonis hukuman majelis hakim tersebut sedikit lebih ringan dari tuntutan jaksa penuntut. Dimana sebelumnya, jaksa penuntut umum (JPU) Dame Sinta Dewi menuntut terdakwa dengan pidana penjara selama 2 tahun 6 bulan, denda Rp200 subsider 6 bulan.
Untuk diketahui, Benny Sukma Negara selaku Kepala Pusat Teknologi Informasi dan Pangkalan Data (PTIPD) UIN Suska bersama mantan Rektor UIN Suska Akhmad Mujahidin (sudah divonis) antara tahun 2019 hingga 2020 didakwa melakukan korupsi dana pengadaan fasilitas layanan pelatihan dan layanan batteray pack untuk server.
Akhmad Mujahidin telah terlebih dahulu dihadapkan ke persidangan dan dinyatakan terbukti bersalah dengan pidana penjara selama 2 tahun 10 bulan. Ia juga dihukum turut membayar denda sebesar Rp200 juta subsidair 4 bulan penjara dikutip dari riauterkini.***
