Former President Jokowi Reports Five of His People to the Police, Following Allegations of Fake Diplomas

JAKARTA, detak24com – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi reported five people to the Polda Metro Jaya regarding allegations of defamation and slander, following allegations of fake diplomas.
“So, all of the reported parties will be investigated later. But of course in all the series of events, we have conveyed that to the investigators, all the items, evidence that we have conveyed, the events, there are 24 videos, around 24 objects that Mr. Jokowi has also reported, yes, it is also suspected that it was done by several parties,” said one of Jokowi’s attorneys, Yakup Hasibuan at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday (30/04/25).

“Yes, maybe the initials if I may say, there are RS, RS, then ES, there is also T, there is the initial K too,” he added.
They were reported for Article 310 of the Criminal Code on defamation and Article 311 of the Criminal Code on slander. In addition, there are also Article 27A, Article 32, and Article 35 of the ITE Law.
On the other hand, he said that Jokowi had also shown all of his academic certificates from elementary school to college to investigators.
So earlier, Mr. Jokowi had clearly shown his elementary school, junior high school, high school, and UGM college certificates. “Everything has been shown to the investigators,” he said.
He also said that Jokowi is ready to provide information to the authorities again if it is needed later.
“Mr. Jokowi also firmly told us that if it is needed again later, he is ready to be responsible and ready to provide further information if it is needed for the purposes of the investigation,” he said.
Previously, Jokowi explained the reason he took the legal route so that the diploma polemic could be clear and obvious.
“Yes, this is actually a minor problem, the matter of the accusation of a fake diploma, but it needs to be brought to the legal realm, so that everything is clear and obvious,” he said.
Jokowi also explained the reason he only took the legal route now because previously he was still serving as president.
“Back then, I was still in office, I didn’t think it was over. It turns out that it is still dragging on so it is better to do it again so that it becomes clear and obvious,” he said.
The polemic regarding the authenticity of Jokowi’s diploma has not yet found an end. The first trial of this case has also begun on Thursday (24/04/25) at the Solo District Court.
The lawsuit is registered with case number 99/Pdt.G/2025/PN Skt, and regarding the Esemka car it is registered with case number 96/Pdt.G/2025/PN Skt. In this case, Jokowi sits as defendant 1, the Solo City KPU is defendant 2, SMAN 6 Solo is defendant 3, and Gadjah Mada University is defendant 4.
On the other hand, four people who have been vocal in challenging the authenticity of Jokowi’s diploma have also been reported to the police. The four reported parties are former Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo, digital forensics expert Rismon Sianipar, Deputy Chairperson of the Ulama and Activist Defense Team (TPUA) Rizal Fadillah, and doctor Tifauzia Tyassuma.
Relawan Pemuda Patriot Nusantara reported the four people to the Central Jakarta Metro Police following allegations of Jokowi’s fake diploma on Wednesday (24/4) and registered with the number LP/B/978/IV/2025/SPKT/Polres Metro Jakpus/Polda Metro Jaya.
