Trump Says US Will Take Over Gaza Strip!

WASHINGTON DC, detak24com – President Donald Trump said the United States (US) will take over Gaza. He said this while speaking to reporters at the White House after talks with Israeli. Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the country’s conflict with Hamas.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip,” he said Tuesday night local time, quoted Wednesday (05/02/25).

“We will do the job … We will own it,” he added.

“And (we) will be responsible for dismantling all unexploded ‘dangerous bombs’ and other weapons on this site.” 

He also said the US wanted “long-term ownership” of the Gaza Strip. He claimed that this would create thousands of jobs.

“I see a long-term ownership position, and I see it bringing great stability to that part of the Middle East and perhaps the entire Middle East,” Trump told reporters during a press conference at the White House.

 “This is not a decision that was made lightly, everybody I’ve talked to loves the idea of the United States having that piece of land,” he added.

He added that Gaza could become the “Riviera of the Middle East”. He also said he would visit Gaza in the near future, while also boasting of trips to Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries.

“The Riviera of the Middle East. It could be something very extraordinary,” he said.

“I love Israel. I’ll be there and I’ll be in Gaza and I’ll be in Saudi Arabia and I’ll be in other places throughout the Middle East,” Trump told reporters at the White House, without specifying a timetable.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu said Trump’s move to take over the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip could “change history”. At a joint press conference at the White House, Netanyahu said “it’s worth looking at this idea” and added that it was “something that could change history”. (*)
